Activeace for all

NHS guideline show that to maintain a basic level of health children ages 5 - 18 should engage in 60 minutes of physical activity per day.

Many activities can be used to encourage children to enjoy exercise, however guidance suggests that hopping and skipping and sports such as tennis are used as a suggestion for vigorous and muscle strengthening activity.

"Dawn House School is a school for pupils with Speech, Language and communication needs. Some of the pupils at Dawn House have attended the yearly tennis festival for a number of years now. The day itself is well planned, well structured and delivered at the right level to give all of the pupils with their varying abilities a chance to improve and achieve success. The coaches know their stuff and interact with the pupils in an appropriate friendly manner. All of the pupils have fun whilst learning new skills and always want to be in the party to come back next year."
